Pat Whalen is the Founder & CEO of Extension Marketing and is one Canada’s most preeminent marketing and sales experts. Extension Marketing is a new breed of marketing agency with offices in Ottawa, Vancouver and Halifiax.

They act as the virtual marketing department for some of North America’s best known brands, and deliver exceptional results for their clients by taking a strategy before tactics approach to marketing.

Prior to starting Extension Marketing, Pat was a senior level marketing and sales executive in the sports industry. As the Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer for the Ottawa Sports and Entertainment Group (OSEG), the ownership group behind the Ottawa Redblacks, the Ottawa 67’s Hockey Club and the Ottawa Fury professional soccer club, he oversaw the sales and marketing efforts for all three teams.

Prior to OSEG, Pat was the President and CEO of the Ottawa 67’s Hockey Club where he took the organization from last in attendance in Canadian junior hockey to first.

In the sports business world Pat is known for coming up with and developing the Adopt-A-School program which is now in use by sports organizations around the world. Before joining the Ottawa 67’s, Pat worked as the Director of Sales for the Ottawa Senators Hockey Club.

Pat has served as a board member for a number of organizations and is well known for his
philanthropic efforts.

Pat started the Extension Marketing Coaching program as he recognized that not every business was in a position to hire a top-level marketing agency. He wanted to provide his guidance to allow owners to implement marketing and sales tools at a reasonable price, with the goal of growing their businesses.
